This of course loses all customized programs and I have to start over. If you customize Automatic, you always have to save it under a new program - you cannot overwrite the settings for Automatic. When a Bluetooth Classic connection automatically ends, your hearing aids will revert to only the programs that it has been fitted with. Settings that were created in the app including the preset programs from the app are not fitted in your hearing aids, which is why the program automatically reverts back to Automatic instead.
Important to note, there is no activation chime sound in your hearing aids to indicate the automatic change of programs.
Here are some suggestions for you to either reduce or eliminate the occurrences of the program automatically reverting to Automatic: 1. Choose only the programs that have been fitted to your hearing aids 2. Turn off all touch-sounds and audible alerts or other Bluetooth Classic connections in your phone settings 3. Ask your hearing care professional to fit your custom or preset programs to your hearing aids The advantage of having your own custom settings fitted as custom programs by your hearing care professional is that they will remain stored in your hearing aids, which means that even if you delete the app you will not lose the fitted settings.

However, as there are many different ways of implementing both software and Bluetooth hardware, it can be difficult to establish a useful connection to the streamer.
Read the BTD manual carefully before installing as the USB dongle will automatically be in pairing mode when inserted in the computer for the first time. When you are ready, make sure the Streamer is in pairing mode, or make sure you are ready to get the Streamer into pairing mode once the BTD dongle is inserted.
Some computers and tablets have built-in Bluetooth that enables a wireless connection between the device and streamer. Before the streamer can be used with other devices, the two devices have to be paired. For those still struggling, give it a try. My aids are chirping like crazy now and they keep trying to pair every few minutes, even though they are paired! Nothing seems to work long term. At best, a few days and it starts all over again.
It almost renders the aids unusable. Appears to be related to streaming music, which I do a lot. The most successful results I've achieved are when I delete the Choice app; forget the aids under accessibility settings, reboot the phone and then re-pair the aids under accessibility and download and reinstall the Choice app. This is a major nuisance to have to do several times a week! And yes, an Apple Watch app would be very much appreciated.
